Lusitano Intelligent , Quick to Learn but Dominant !

by Andrea
(Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

Andrea's Lusitano

Andrea's Lusitano

My lusitano is a quick learner and I have started the Parelli program with him. On the ground he is very respectful. However, in the saddle he has become domineering and at the moment bucks when I ask for canter and doesnt want to do schooling. I have had his back checked.
He puts his ears back at other horses in the barn.
Other than that he is lovely! He used to come on the bit easily and go forward but is resistant at the moment.
I keep his work varied, hacking and jumping him as well as the schooling.
We are in Dubai.
