Pony-Stories

The Ponies of Tally Ho Farm

Introduction to pony-stories. Brought to you by Navajo

Hi My name is Navajo. This is a picture of me. I am the youngest and smallest member of the Tally Ho Ponies. I am here to tell you lots of fun stories and share great adventures about the us …the Tally Ho Ponies.

So why me since I am the youngest and smallest? They say I’m cute and sweet and all that stuff, but really it’s because I am smart. I love listening to the older ponies. They tell me wonderful pony-stories. Mostly about things that have happened in their lives living here at Tally Ho Farm. Because I have such a great memory I remember them all. I am not bragging …..horses just have great memories. I learn a lot about life and people and other horses just listening. The other way I learn a lot is from watching Clementine and Xixi. They are the older mares ( that’s a girl horse)and they know a LOT. Sometimes if I am scared of something I watch them. If it doesn’t bother them and make them run away, then I pretend it doesn’t bother me. They know …They have seen it all! I will tell you all about them and the other ponies here at Tally HO . But first let me show you where we live. It is a pretty special place that little children love to come to. It is the place where all the pony-stories take place.

I like children because they bring me treats! Its my job to teach them how to ride. I take my job very seriously. Miss Diane ( that’s the lady that started Tally Ho a loooooong time ago) well,….she counts on us ponies to keep the kids safe and make sure they have fun. She takes care of us and treats us very nicely. Anyway…back to the farm. It’s a great place. Let me show you around.

I forgot to tell you that the farm is in Park City Utah. I like it here and later on I am going to tell you how it was that I got here in the first place. It was really quite an adventure.

My best friend here is Ponapee. He has taken care of me since I got here to Tally Ho. Shown me around and all. He is a really white welsh pony when he is not covered in mud and dirt. We both love to roll and get dirty because then we get extra special treatment from the kids. They give us baths and lots of treats if we stand quietly. Ponapee is a lot older than me but boy was he famous when he was younger. Why he could jump anything and gallop like the wind and and….he has blue eyes. The color of a clear evening sky , with black speckles. Speckles that twinkle when he tells me the stories of how he learned to jump years ago. He learned everything with a little girl called Cara. Well I know a girl called Cara but she is not a kid any more. She helps Miss Diane teach the lessons and boy can she ride!.. But I am forgetting my manners. I need to start off by introducing you to all the ponies at Tally HO . You need to know who they are if we are going to share their adventures and stories together. Right? Come on….Here we go…
